i made a full appliance package purchase on 1/29/22 and they were delivered on 2/7/22 fast forward to 3/16/22 i have made not one, not two but three claims on my fridge. its freezing everything on the refrigerator side and they cant seem to get it figured out. countless of calls, 5 house visits and hundreds of dollars of fresh produce and other items that just aren't the same once frozen thrown away. glad i purchased a 5 year extended warranty because its already been proven it was needed. i will never purchase samsung appliances every again in my life and will be getting rid of these once the warranty is up. samsung is great with phones, tvs, sound bars, and other electronics of that nature but have failed me in every other way. do not recommend.

the water isn't centered so it misses workout water bottles cause you can't center the spout. it also throws small pieces of ice when not in crushed ice mode.

i am disappointed in the malfunctioning of my icemaker. it started exactly one year after purchasing from best buy. the warranty ended, a technician still came out to look at my fridge and determined the icemaker was "freezing". it still has failed to work at all since that time and now there is a ridiculous charge associated with service.

love the size and efficiency of this refrigerator. seems to keep food at specified temperature and has plenty of room. very bright interior and excellent ice maker. what i don't like is that there is neither a cold cut drawer nor a dedicated dairy space.

i am terribly disappointed with this refrigerator. anything stored along the back wall freezes and is then spoiled. the repair person set the temp to a high one, and just said to keep all produce in the drawers. but it's not possible to load up the fridge without something being in the back, including produce. then it gets spoiled.also, there is only one light, at the top of the fridge . no side lights, so it's hard to see things in the dark shadows.

the ice maker on this model was absolutely the slowest when new (twice daily). slowly became worse and has finally stopped. it will fill and freeze but just stop dropping. a counter top ice maker will be less expensive than a service call and i can't find a schematic online.

6 months after we purchased this refrigerator, the compressor died and we woke up to a warm fridge and a freezer full of melted food. the $200 or so we lost in food paled in comparison to the nightmare that was samsung warranty support.
long story short, we had to wait more than a month for the earliest available appointment with their "authorized" repair service. samsung told us we could have someone else come fix it sooner and be reimbursed, but then refused to actually authorize that company to service the unit and refused to reimburse us that company's service fee. a customer service "supervisor" also screamed at me for "not understanding their policies" after i waited on hold for 2 hours, so that was cool too. never again.

my samsung refrigerator has performed well over the time i have owned it. i have only found two problems that i have been unable to overcome. the ice maker capacity and ice production is smaller and slower than the lg that i really enjoyed. from time to time we have had to buy bags of ice to fill the ice hopper. i wish it were more like the lg i so dearly loved, but unable to purchase. also, the refrigerator lower shelf in the rear seems to freeze much of the liquids when on the lower shelf to the rear of the refrigerator. we can't put the milk or juice in the back of the fridge on the lowest shelf.

i've only had this for 4 months and what a huge disappointment! i thought i bought a refrigerator/freezer but to my surprise it ended up being 2 freezers! i loved the idea of how large it was inside and as a chef i always need the extra space.....but by using the fullness of this proved to be a huge loss in food product! the entire back of the refrigerator is actually a freezer, who knew! i've given samsung the opportunity to send out repair companies to fix the issue and they still have not. now i'm in the samsung "we got your money so good luck getting it back!" business i still wait for either a replacement or return of my money under their warranty statute. do yourselves a favor and don't get rope a doped into this disaster of an appliance!!!

bought this thinking it had at least one crisper but it doesn't. two bins at bottom of fridge with wide open gaps and no adjustments. vegetables shriveled up in one day! and really, no light for water dispenser? would it really have cost you that much to put a bulb in? so disappointed with this purchase. even cheaper fridges would have had these two features. please do better.

we had our refrigerator fail and needed one fast but when we went looking, we were disappointed by lack of quality of many including some very expensive brands. we fell in love with this one. it is so roomy, loved the handle-less design and the solid feel of this one. we ordered directly from samsung and it was painless and fast. very impressed as all of the big box stores were giving us a run around. we've had it one full week and so happy! i even checked the temperature with a digital scanner and it was perfect with refrigerator reading. we have had to adjust to the water dispenser as it does not adjust to the container but no problem for us.

it's an upgrade for us, but still lacking for the price. i feel like this about be about $150 less.
pros -
no handles sticking out
lots of room
nice shelving depth
stainless is pretty nice
no filter can be seen
cons -
needs way more light in both the freezer and fridge in a 4100k color temp to light the bottom half. why is there no design for light in the back bottom half?
the ice maker is absolute garbage. it barely makes enough ice in a day to appreciate that its even making it, lol. the design is medciocre and the hook takes quite awhile to grab ice. you'll get half a chunk of ice vs. crushed.
no drip tray design.
overall, yes, a nice upgrade, but i feel like the price should be quite a bit less based on those 2 things. lighting and ice maker.

we purchased 5 samsung appliances for our home including the refrigerator. we had trouble from day 1 with ice maker. we get only crushed ice. no cubes. there were some foam lining that came out from the dispenser as well. we called called support on june 27, and got a ticket created. today is july 12th and no one has come to service the machine or given an update. terrible after sales service.

bought this back in february with a range(horrible also) and there is a horrible noise coming from the freezer. scared my lo to death when she went to get ice. it sounds like a jack hammer. called for service and i was told to buy coolers they had no tech for a week. tech "fixed it" and left that night went to get ice and same issue. called again and i will be another week before than can come out. believe there is a cooling issue in fridge also thing go bad really quick, quicker then expiration date. nor is it fingerprint resistant. shame on you samsung. i was told this was a know issue on both appliances and yet you have done nothing! appears not to just be us with the issues!

we have had this otherwise impressive fridge since december 2020. the fridge is very spacious. we regularly keep the fridge stocked with beverages, meats & veggies, and more. where there is a total letdown is the ice maker. it makes ice but the shoot that the ice is supposed to be dispensed through froze over with this huge iceberg. i have been thawing it out. i wanted to share the situation here. let's see what the results are. samsung, please make it right!

ice maker is horrible. it makes very little ice. its so bad i finally bought a separate ice maker. i miss having a light by the controls for the water and ice as you can not see the buttons in the evening. there is not enough light in side the fridge itself. one thing i missed prior to purchasing is there is no cold cut drawer on the higher levels.

this refrigerator makes on tiny ice tray at a time, like an old fashioned ice tray. then that one tray, dumps upside down and that's all you get. if one tray is enough for your family, that might be okay for you, but its a joke in my house. very strange and disappointing!

the refrigerator look and operation is fine. however, it has been impossible to remove all of the plastic. I worked on it for hours; the worst part is that the plastic wrap is manufactured by Samsung to be under the seals and into the actual metal seams. a month later, i still haven't been able to remove all the plastic remnants, despite painstaking work with tweezers. for this reason i can't recommend purchasing this refrigerator.

i've had this refrigerator for less than a year and am on my 2nd service call for the same issue- the refrigerator is freezing my food with the temperature set to 37 deg f. the 1st time, the technician could not locate a problem with the diagnostic tools, so he just replaced the computer. he also suggested i get a surge protector for the fridge in case a power surge may have caused the issue. i did. it worked for a couple of months, and now the same thing is happening again. after reading reviews, this is an ongoing issue for multiple customers and samsung is not fixing the issue. i called the customer service line and found that the warranty is a repair warranty only.

replaced ge 25 cu ft. that had a failed embraco compressor after 18 months. this unit is 2 cu ft larger with same dimensions. much quieter. the ge was $2300, the samsung was $1400. sold on 10 yr comp warranty. back panel is metal instead of cardboard as with some less expensive units. roomy inside with deep door bins. fit through the front door well since there were no handles.

we bought this side by side by samsung to replace a defective lg french model that was only 12.5 years old. the compressor failed completely. the new samsung exceeds our expectations. we bought it for almost $1000 less than we paid for the lg 12.5 years ago. it has more room, is quieter, and works a lot better. time will tell, but right now, this one is a winner.

fridge is marketed "stainless steel" but that must be the color, not material of the doors which have some ultra-soft coating that scratches/dents super easy. our kids have toys with plastic on outside & a magnet inside. simply placing these on fridge was enough to leave scratches all over with no way to remove. how does plastic scratch steel? and my wife barely bumped fridge while setting a plate on top and it immediately left a permanent dent super visible due to the shiny surface. fridge isn't made to withstand normal life use. also they shrinkwrapped plastic around all the parts before assembling them - we spent hours trying to peel off tiny bits of plastic wrap from every crevice. within weeks the ice maker failed which techs had to come out and fix. very disappointed with this.

1stt, the ice maker has no drip tray. the water spout drips . 2nd, the ice maker does not have a light. when i get a drink in the night, i can't see the ice maker. i have to turn on the kitchen light to see. it wakes me up completely and when i return to bed, i can't go back to sleep. also, the ice maker takes 6 hours to make ice. i have to keep trays in the freezer which defeats the purpose of having an ice maker. the water spout is too far out and water runs down the side of the glass when dispensing. 3rd, the shelves are not movable. there is not enough space between shelves for a gallon of milk. the shelves cannot hold tall containers. i know the door has gallon shelves, but my past experience shows that, overloading the door with weight causes the hinge to fail.

i like the fridge and freezer size. i hate that i have to remove the ice storage container once a week to clean it out just to get ice from the door. the ice dispenser frosts up constantly. also there is nothing to catch drips of water or melting ice in the door so there is always water drops sitting on the dispenser tray.

had to purchase in an emergancy, and one of the only units lowes had in stock. great features and a lot of storage, handleless front is very nice. but.... the ice maker is horrible takes forever to make 8 cubes and those are small, ice container is small as well.

the refrigerator is pretty and a good size, but the ice maker doesn't make enough ice for 2 people in one day. that is a deal breaker i wish i could return this model. i have to go out buy bagged ice even though i have a new appliance. the shelves are not adjustable. the blue light is dim, you cannot see vey well. there is not enough light in the freezer to see what is in there. the door is sharp so you have to watch you feet from getting scraped. and finally there is no cheese drawer.

The good:

The temperature in the refrigerator side varies widely from shelf to shelf. I have the fridge set to maintain 37degrees ( as suggested in the manual ). The crisper drawers are consistently near that setpoint. Wonderful.The lowest open shelf ranges from 31 to 38 degrees. We've often had food freeze solid on this shelf. And while the lowest shelf freezes, the top shelf will be 9 - 15 degrees warmer! Yes, freezing on one shelf while 45 degrees three shelves higher.
I am measuring temperatures with two calibrated recording thermometers.
We have had service people to our home twice. The first measured temperature at just one place (a middle shelf), found it to be 3 degrees above set point there and said that there is nothing wrong, this is within Samsung tolerances. The second tech saw the temperature variation within the fridge. He spoke with a Samsung tech by phone, then suggested we move delicate foods to the upper shelves where they wouldn't freeze, because the problem is part of the design and can't be fixed!
Obvious to me is there is insufficient circulation within the fridge to keep temps even. The unit is definitely not overfilled to stop air movement.
If you want a fridge that does a good job of properly maintaining your food, I'd suggest avoiding this model. Personally, I'll avoid Samsung!

Well the reasons to purchase this fridge says it all. The size immediately scores high, the simple unadjustable shelving at first was a drawback but once you start loading it up that all goes away. The clean simple lines with it's minimalist design stands up well. Drawbacks ? Icemaker too small and slow (this crew needs to get into a conference room and fix it !). The doors are a little too low for toe clearance. Time will need to pass for real results, appliances need to melt into the house quietly and reliably before real judgment can be made.
The price was fine but covid-19 placed stress on delivery time.
The great size of the fridge required I "I" remove the doors and install it myself. The delivery crew didn't want to damage it but they think the customer can do the job better than they can, that shouldn't ever happen. So far great product.

There isn't wasted space, with all sorts of drawers and compartments. I can easily see everything inside my refrigerator without having to search through drawers.

I bought this side-by-side in late March (delivered 4/4/20). Love the roominess. Wish ice maker was larger (we love ice). Ice maker quit working in early August. Next to impossible to get service (took almost 30 days for it to finally be repaired). Customer service was poor. While I love the fridge, I wouldn't purchase another Samsung because of the difficulty in obtaining service.

I have had this fridge for over 3 months now and I love how big the fridge is on the inside. The cooling settings automatically set themselves so all I did was hook water to it and plug it in. The fridge is a little bigger than I originally thought so make sure it will fit when ordering. Otherwise the fridge is awesome. Love the stainless steel!

This is a great refrigerator! The multi levels of cooling ability help to keep my items fresh. One issue is that the vegetable or meat drawers don't have an adjustment. Sometimes I find my vegetables frozen.

We replaced a 10 yr old Electrolux French door with this model Samsung. We find it easier to organize food in the freezer over the bottom drawer we had before. This unit is sleek and modern with no handles which makes it appear a higher end unit. Plenty of space for all our usual inventory of food. Only disappointments are no deli drawer (Which we knew before purchasing) and no dispenser light which is listed as a feature but does not in fact have. Ice maker is great but having a hard time keeping up with us in the summer season (we use a lot of ice).
