The strong silent type.
10/1/2026
I never expected to have strong feelings about a dishwasher, but apparently Bosch has brought me to this point in my life.
First, it is ridiculously quiet. More than once, I've put my ear to the door to see if it was still running. Once I even opened it mid-cycle because I forgot it was running. My old dishwasher announced its presence to the entire house. The Bosch quietly gets on with its business, steady and competent without a need for constant recognition.
And the dishes actually come out clean. Really clean. Glasses sparkle, plates emerge spotless, and pots and pans no longer require a "pre-wash" that suspiciously resembles washing them myself. The adjustable racks are also genuinely useful and somehow manage to accommodate whatever chaotic assortment of dishes I throw at them.
It's quiet, efficient, thoughtfully designed, and extremely good at its job. In short, my Bosch asks very little of me and consistently delivers excellent results-which is more than I can say for the majority of my other household appliances.
Five stars. I would absolutely buy it again.

This is our second Bosch dishwasher we purchased after 10 years with our first one. I absolutely love the slim top rack for spatulas, knives, and other longer utensils. It even has notches that fit piping tips perfect. It has been a game changer for me as I bake and cook frequently. The dishes come out so clean and dry. I expect this new model will last as long as my other one.

We are extremely pleased to with out new dishwasher! The plates, utensils and even the glassware come out spotless! The unit is so quiet, it's fantastic! I hated the fact I had to pay over$1100 for it, but for the quality it was worth it. I'm so glad I listen to our neighbor, who has his own appliance repair company; he told us to get this model! We could not be any happier!

Flawlessly Clean Dishes & Fantastic Smart Features

I couldn't be happier with my Bosch dishwasher (Model #SHP65DM5N)! It consistently leaves my dishes sparkling clean, even when I only give them a light rinse or skip rinsing altogether.
A few features really stand out to me:
Home Connect App: Connecting the dishwasher to the app has been a game-changer. I love being able to schedule washes for specific times, which makes it super convenient to run the machine late at night while everyone is sleeping.
Auto Air Feature: The door automatically pops open at the end of the cycle to let steam escape, ensuring dishes dry thoroughly every time.
Sanitize Option & Stainless Steel Interior: The sanitize feature gives me peace of mind knowing everything is hygienic, and the stainless steel tub looks sleek and durable.
Overall, this dishwasher delivers exceptional cleaning performance and smart convenience. Highly recommended!

After less than one year, the auto air function failed. First, the door mechanism was replaced. Again after only two months, it failed requiring replacement of the same mechanism as well as the main control board. Despite the same continued problem extending past the one year mark, customer service would only direct me to a "certified technician" to diagnose and charge for the repairs. Will never buy another or recommend a Bosch dishwasher.

All looks good. Clearly a well-designed product engineered for rugged use. Control and user management instructions are overly complex, as evidenced by the 42-page User Manual! A manual that is not shipped with the dishwasher and needs to be printed at a home printer

I purchased this dishwasher from Lowes, it was easy to install with clear instructions. First time I used it I was blown away by how quiet it is. Even standing next to it its hard to hear it when its running. I wanted to give it a test so I put in dishes with crusted baked beans, air fryer grate with food burnt on to it. Utensils in the same shape. When the cycle was over I was astonished. Everything was spotless. I have already recommended Bosch dishwashers to friends and family and will continue to do so. Very happy with this purchase.

Upgrading to the Bosch 500 Series completely transformed our household's post-dinner routine. After years of dealing with an old unit that sounded like a jet engine and left plastics dripping wet, this dishwasher feels like a massive luxury upgrade.
The stand-out features that make this model worth every penny:
Our kitchen opens right into the living room, and we can run this while watching TV without turning up the volume. The red InfoLight® beamed onto the floor is a lifesaver; without it, you wouldn't even know a cycle was running!
No more drying Tupperware with a dish towel. The door automatically pops open a few inches at the end of the cycle to vent steam, leaving even stubborn plastic containers completely dry.
Zone Wash Power: We put this through the ultimate test with baked-on lasagna pans and greasy sheet trays. The targeted lower-rack spraying blasts off heavy food residue without any tedious pre-rinsing.
The dedicated 3rd top rack makes organizing flatware effortless, while the adjustable middle rack easily shifts up or down to fit tall wine glasses or giant stockpots below.

As a new homeowner, I've quickly learned that buying appliances is no joke. You spend a lot of money, there are a million brands to choose from, and you really hope you're making the right decision. After getting our Bosch 500 Series dishwasher, I can honestly say this is one purchase I would make again without even thinking twice.
Bosch is hands down the BEST dishwasher brand out there in my opinion. The Bosch 500 Series is unbelievably quiet, cleans dishes better than I ever expected, and the overall quality is just on another level. Half the time you don't even realize it's running! Everything about it feels well-designed and built with quality in mind.
What I love most is that Bosch doesn't need a bunch of gimmicks to impress you. It simply does exactly what a dishwasher is supposed to do-and does it better than anyone else. It cleans incredibly well, dries great, runs quietly, and gives you confidence that you bought a quality appliance that's going to be worth every dollar.
As a new homeowner, you're constantly buying things for the house and wondering if they're actually worth the money. The Bosch 500 is one of those purchases where I can confidently say YES, absolutely worth it. There are plenty of dishwasher brands out there, but after experiencing Bosch for myself, I honestly don't think they can be beat.
If you're shopping for a new dishwasher, stop overthinking it and get the Bosch. I can honestly say I'm officially a Bosch customer for life. For new homeowners especially, when you want quality, reliability, performance, and something you can truly feel good about spending your money on, Bosch is the way to go.

Honestly, Bosch dishwashers are total game-changers, especially if you hate pre-rinsing your plates. They are insanely quiet-you literally have to check the little red light projected on the floor just to see if it's running. Plus, the third rack up top for silverware and small lids frees up so much room down below.

Restart and Restart

I have had the dishwasher for all most six months and it has never gone through a wash cycle where I didn't have to go through the reset process. Normally has to go through the reset process two to three times before the wash cycle completes. The Bosch tech(Garrett) has become a regular at our house every two to three weeks. The dishwasher arrived damage from Home Depot and because I didn't report the damage in 48 hours from delivery HD won't replace the unit. The Bosch tech has replaced several parts but the unit still does not complete the wash cycle without going through the restart process, Bosch tech refuses to say a new unit should be provided. IT'S A LEMON!!!

I am very happy with my Bosch dishwasher! It does an excellent job of getting the dishes clean, and I especially appreciate how quiet it is. I can run it while we are watching TV or having a conversation without it being disruptive.
The dishwasher has plenty of room and the racks are thoughtfully designed, making it easy to fit dishes, glasses, and larger items. I also really like how well it cleans without needing to pre-wash everything. The dishes come out sparkling clean, and the drying performance has been very good.
The controls are simple to use, and the overall design feels high-quality and well made. It looks great in my kitchen, runs efficiently, and has been a wonderful upgrade.

To start off I will say it's a very quiet machine. Outside of that I have not been very impressed. Dishes do not come out clean and there is water dripping everywhere. I literally have to hand dry each piece. I'm gonna give it a few more tries, but so far it's not so good. I feel like the more technology they put into a machine the worse it performs.

I haven't had a dishwasher 22 out of the past 25 years. So when I decided to remodel my kitchen, you can bet I was gonna get the best dishwasher I could afford. Bosch was a no-brainer. I've never used the word "handsome" to describe an appliance, but it is. This thing is so quiet, you have to put your ear to it to make sure it's running. I am loving this machine so far. It's so quiet, a HUGE upgrade over the LG that was here previously. Love the third rack for silverware and small items. This dishwasher cleans well and is fairly quiet. I bought mostly for the reliability which i cannot speak to yet as i have only had it a month or two. This dishwasher cleans well, i have no complaints there. I do not have the app or it hooked up to wifi. I do need to open the door manually to let everything dry. As many other reviews have mentioned, the spines in this dishwasher seem like they werent designed by someone who uses a dishwasher. To me they do not make logical sense and can be hard to load efficiently. I was aware of the other reviews and didnt think it would be that bad....but it is quite annoying. I am annoyed everytime i load this washer. But it does clean well and beats the months of handwashing i was doing before. If it proves to be as reliable as everyone says then it will be fine.

Trying to narrow down the field of dishwashers to consider by reading online reviews was nothing short of frustrating. I've never had a great experience at the big box stores with knowledgeable associates so chose to visit Barron's appliances and see what they had to say. We were impressed with Austin's product knowledge and he helped us select the 500.
It's a quiet, efficiently layed out interior and Bosch has a good reputation for reliability. That is just what we hoped for.

We purchased our new **Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher** from Best Buy in March of this year, and it has honestly exceeded every expectation we had. After using it for several months, I can confidently say it has been one of the best appliance purchases we've made for our home.
The first thing we noticed was how incredibly **quiet** it is. The first few times we ran it, we actually had to check that it was on because it operates so silently. Even with an open floor plan, you can barely hear it running.
The cleaning performance is outstanding. Everything comes out spotless, from heavily soiled pots and pans to delicate glassware. We no longer have to pre-rinse dishes before loading them, which saves both time and water. The drying performance has been just as impressive-our dishes, cups, bowls, and even most plastics come out dry and ready to put away.
We also love how much it holds. The rack design makes excellent use of space, allowing us to fit significantly more dishes than our previous dishwasher. The adjustable racks make it easy to accommodate larger pots, pans, and serving dishes when needed.
Setup was simple, the controls are intuitive, and the different wash cycles are easy to understand. The stainless steel interior gives it a premium feel, and everything about the dishwasher reflects Bosch's attention to quality and engineering.
Beyond the performance, we've appreciated how efficient it is. It uses less water and energy while delivering consistently excellent results, making it both environmentally friendly and economical to operate.
If you're looking for a dishwasher that is quiet, reliable, easy to use, and delivers exceptional cleaning and drying performance every single time, I highly recommend the Bosch 500 Series. It has made our daily routine easier, and my wife absolutely loves it. We would definitely purchase another Bosch in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. It's a five-star appliance that truly lives up to its reputation.
